Canadian declaration extending to Newfoundland the Convention between Canada and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Providing for the Reciprocal Recognition and Enforcement of Judgments in Civiland Commercial Matters
Pursuant to Article XII, the Government of Canada declares that in addition to the provinces of British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, the Yukon Territory, Saskatchewan, Prince Edward Island and the Northwest Territories the Convention shall extend to the province of Newfoundland. An application in the province of Newfoundland for the registration of a judgment given by the court of the United Kingdom may be made in the Supreme Court of the province of Newfoundland, Trial Division
Déclaration canadienne étendant à Terre-Neuve l'application de la Convention entre le Canada et le Royaume-Uni de Grande-Bretagne et d'Irlande du Nord pour assurer la reconaissance et l'exécution réciproque des jugements en matière civile et commerciale
Conformément à l'article XII, le Canada déclare que la Convention déjà mise en oeuvre dans les provinces de la Colombie-Britannique, du Manitoba, du Nouveau-Brunswick, de la Nouvelle-Écosse, de l'Ontario, de la Saskatchewan, de l'Ile-du-Prince-Edouard, dans le Territoire du Yukon et dans les Territoires du Nord-Ouest est étendue à la province de Terre-Neuve. Une demande peut être soumise dans la province de Terre-Neuve en vue de l'enregistrement d'un jugement rendu par un tribunal du Royaume-Uni auprès de la Cour suprême de la province de Terre-Neuve, Division de première instance.
