1. These Regulations may be cited as the Child Minding and Day Care (Applications for Registration) Regulations 1991, and shall come into force on 14th October 1991.
2. In these Regulations unless the context otherwise requires–
“the Act” means the Children Act 1989;
“full day care” means day care provided for children under the age of eight for a full working day in premises other than domestic premises;
“person in charge” means in relation to day care where the applicant is not an individual, the person appointed as the person in charge of providing the actual day care by the applicant;
“sessional day care” means day care provided for children under the age of eight for less than a full working day in premises other than domestic premises;
3.—(1) The statement which, in accordance with paragraph 1(1)(a) of Schedule 9 to the Act, is to be contained in an application for registration under section 71 of the Act (statement with respect to the applicant), shall include the information specified in Schedule 1 to these Regulations.
(2) The statement which, in accordance with paragraph 1(1)(b) of Schedule 9 to the Act, is to be contained in an application for registration under section 71 of the Act (statement with respect to certain other persons), shall include the information specified in Schedule 2 to these Regulations.
