REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLE

The Representation of the People Act 1990 (Commencement No.2) Order 1991

In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 2(2) of the Representation of the People Act 1990(1), I hereby make the following Order:

1.  This Order may be cited as the Representation of the People Act 1990 (Commencement No.2) Order 1991.

2.  The Representation of the People Act 1990 shall come into force in Northern Ireland on 7th August 1991.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings the provisions of the Representation of the People Act 1990 into force in Northern Ireland on 7th August 1991. The effect of this Order is that the Act will be in force throughout the United Kingdom (it was brought into force in Great Britain by S.I.1991/1244)
