1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Education (National Curriculum) (Attainment Targets and Programmes of Study in Welsh) (Amendment) Order 1991 and shall come into force on 14th August 1991.
(2) In this Order any reference to the principal Order is a reference to the Education (National Curriculum) (Attainment Targets and Programmes of Study in Welsh) Order 1990(1).
2.—(1) This article shall apply in the case of the following schools, that is to say—
In the County of Dyfed:

In the County of Powys:

Crossgates County Primary School
Cwmdu Church in Wales School
Franksbridge County Primary School
Gladestry Church in Wales School
Hafren Deaf Unit
Howey Church in Wales School
Knighton Church in Wales School
Llanbedr Church in Wales School
Llanbister County Primary School
Llandrindod Wells County Primary School
Llandrindod Wells Deaf Unit
Llandrindod Wells Special Unit
Llanfaes Deaf Unit
Llanfihangel Rhydithion County Primary School
Llangattock Church in Wales School
Llangynidr County Primary School
Mount Street Special Unit
Nantmel Church in Wales School

(2) In relation to a school mentioned in paragraph (1) above, to the extent to which the principal Order came into force on 1st August 1990 in pursuance of article 2(a) (pupils in the first year of the First Key Stage), article 3(a) (pupils in the first year of the Second Key Stage), or article 5(a) thereof (pupils in the first year of the third Key Stage), that Order—
(a)shall cease to be in force, and
(b)accordingly, shall be of no effect until again brought into force in pursuance of article 10A of that Order as amended by article 3 of this Order.
3.—(1) In article 1(1) of the principal Order (citation and commencement), after the words “Order 1990 and” there shall be inserted the words, “save as otherwise provided in article 10A,”.
(2) After article 10 of the principal Order there shall be inserted the following article—
“10A.—(1) This article shall apply in the case of a school specified in Schedules 3, 4, 5 or 6 “a specified school” and, for the purposes thereof, in relation to a specified school, any reference to the relevant Part is a reference to the Part of the Schedule in which it is specified.
(2) In relation to a specified school, this Order, so far as it relates to a key stage specified in the relevant Part, shall come into force in respect of pupils in a year of that key stage so specified on the date specified opposite thereto in the relevant Part.”
(3) After Schedule 2 to the principal Order there shall be added the Schedules set out in the Appendix to this Order.
4. After article 10A of the principal Order there shall be inserted the following article—
“10B.—(1) This article shall apply in the case of a school specified in Schedule 7 “a specified school”.
(2) In relation to a specified school in Part I of Schedule 7 the provisions of article 6 of the principal Order (which relate to the coming into force of the Order in the Fourth Key Stage in a school where Welsh is taught) shall not apply.
(3) In relation to a specified school in Part II of Schedule 7 the provisions of article 10 of the principal Order (which relate to the date of the coming into force of the Order in the Fourth Key Stage in a school where Welsh is not taught) shall not apply.”.
