The Broads Authority (Pilotage Powers) Order 1991

Whereas the Broads Authority is a harbour authority within the meaning of the Pilotage Act 1987(1) (hereinafter called “the Act of 1987” for the navigation area (hereinafter called “the harbour” described in section 8(1) of the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads Act 1988(2) but is not a competent harbour authority within the meaning of the Act of 1987:

And whereas the Broads Authority wishes to be treated as a competent harbour authority for the purposes of the Act of 1987:

And whereas the Secretary of State has informed the persons he considered might be affected by the Order, in accordance with section 1(7) of the Act of 1987:

And whereas the making of this Order is not opposed:

Now therefore the Secretary of State for Transport, on the application of the Broads Authority, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1(4) of the Act of 1987, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
