Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Rules)
These Rules revoke and replace the Registered Designs (Fees) Rules 1990. As a result of rationalisation of the general fee structure, fees in respect of some matters have been abolished and in respect of other matters have been increased with effect from 12th August 1991. It is estimated that the total amount of fees collected per annum at the new levels will be 7½ per cent greater than the amount collected per annum at existing levels.
