Citation, commencement and interpretation1
1
This Order may be cited as the Leeds General Infirmary and Associated Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Change of Name) Order 1991 and shall come into force on 1st August 1991.

In this Order unless the context otherwise requires—
“the Order” means the Leeds General Infirmary and Associated Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 19903; and
“the trust” means the NHS trust established by the Order.
Change of Name of NHS Trust2
The trust shall be called the United Leeds Teaching Hospitals National Health Service Trust instead of Leeds General Infirmary and Associated Hospitals National Health Service Trust and accordingly—
a
in article 1 of the Order, in the definition of “the trust”, for the words from “The Leeds” to “Trust” there shall be substituted the words “the NHS trust” and
b
in article 2 of the Order for the words after from “the Leeds” to the word “Associated” there shall be substituted the words “the United Leeds Teaching”.
Transitional Provisions3
The change of name under this Order shall not—
a
affect any right or obligation of any person;
b
be taken as invalidating any instrument (whether made before, on or after the day on which this Order comes into force) which refers to the trust by its previous name,
and all documents and instruments which refer to the trust under its previous name shall be construed as referring to it under its new name.
