The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 20, 24(1)(b) and 29(1) of the Building (Scotland) Act 1959(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

1959 c. 24; section 20 was substituted by the Housing (Scotland) Act 1986 (c. 65), section 19(6); section 29(1) contains a definition of “prescribed” relevant to the exercise of the statutory powers under which these Regulations are made.
