Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force on 3rd May 1990 the following sections of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989–
section 30(1) (declaration of acceptance of office in Scotland)
section 30(2) (declaration of acceptance of office in England and Wales) for the purposes of section 83(1) of the Local Government Act 1972
and
section 32 (anonymity in reports on investigations by Local Commissioners, or in Scotland, the Commissioner).
