Title, commencement, extent and interpretation

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Food Labelling (Amendment) Regulations 1990 and shall come into force on 1st January 1991.

(2) These regulations extend to England and Wales.

(3) In these Regulations—

“the Combined Nomenclature” means the codes given in Council Regulation (EEC) No. 2658/87 (as amended)(1) on the tariff and statistical nomenclature and on the Common Customs Tariff; and

“the principal Regulations” means the Food Labelling Regulations 1984(2).
