1. After subsection (2) of section 2 (control of introduction of pests into Great Britain) there shall be inserted the following subsection–
“(3) In subsection (2) above references to the landing of any article include references to its importation through the tunnel system as defined in the Channel Tunnel Act 1987. 1987 c. 53”.
2. In section 6(1) (publication of orders)(1) after the words “articles” there shall be inserted “or the importation of any articles into Great Britain through the tunnel system as defined in the Channel Tunnel Act 1987 1987 c. 53”.
Section 6(1) was amended by section 4(4) of, and paragraph 8(4) of Schedule 4 to, the European Communities Act 1972 (c. 68).
