Her Majesty, in pursuance of sections 25(6) and 28(3) of the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1989(1), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

1.  This Order may be cited as the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1984 (Guernsey) (Revocation) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 1st January 1991.

2.  The Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1984 (Guernsey) Order 1984(2) is hereby revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order revokes the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1984 (Guernsey) Order 1984, which extended that Act to the Bailiwick of Guernsey with exceptions, adaptations and modifications. The Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1989 which repealed and replaced the 1984 Act is not extended to the Bailiwick of Guernsey where a corresponding law (the Prevention of Terrorism (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law 1990) applies.
