Section 36(4) and (5) of the Police (Scotland) Act 1967 provides for one half of the expenses incurred by the Secretary of State in establishing and maintaining any central police training institution and in providing other common services to be recovered from police authorities and joint police committees. This Order revokes and re-enacts with amendments the Police (Common Police Services) (Scotland) Order 1987 which specified the services which fall within the classification of Common Police Services in Scotland. The only change of substance is the addition of training in bomb search techniques to the range of services.
