SCHEDULEROUTES OF THE NEW TRUNK ROADS

1.  A route approximately 2.70 kilometres in length, starting on the trunk road near Llantarnam Hall, approximately 186 metres north of the junction of the trunk road, known as Malpas Road, and the unclassified Montgomery Road, and proceeding in an easterly and then southerly direction to a new roundabout at Brynglas including the said new roundabout on the west bank of the River Usk approximately 95 metres north of the centre line of the M4 motorway at the eastern end of the existing Brynglas Tunnels.

2.  Two slip roads to connect the new Brynglas roundabout referred to in paragraph 1 above to the existing roundabout at the junction of the M4 motorway with the B4596 Caerleon Road, known as Caerleon Interchange. The slip roads comprise:–

(1) The eastbound slip road which commences at the eastbound exit of the new Brynglas roundabout and extends for 1.03 kilometres to the eastbound entry of the Caerleon Interchange.

(2) The westbound slip road which commences at the westbound entry to the new Brynglas roundabout and extends for 1.01 kilometres to the westbound exit of the Caerleon Intersection.

The new trunk roads described in 1. and 2. above are in the Borough of Newport (with the exception of the northern most 780 metres which lie in the Borough of Torfaen) in the County of Gwent.
