The Submarine Pipe-lines (Designated Owners) (No. 23) Order 1989

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 33(3) of the Petroleum and Submarine Pipe-lines Act 1975(1) (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after giving those persons affected an opportunity of being heard with respect to the matter, hereby makes the following Order:–

1.  This Order may be cited as the Submarine Pipe-lines (Designated Owners) (No. 23) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 11th September 1989.

2.  For the purposes of Part III of the Act, each person specified in Part I of the Schedule hereto is hereby designated as the owner of the pipe-lines described in Part II of the Schedule hereto.

PART IDESIGNATED OWNERS

ARCO British Ltd., whose principal place of business in the United Kingdom is at ARCO House, 48 Grosvenor Street, London W1X 0AN.

Britoil (Development) Ltd., whose registered office is at 301 St. Vincent Street, Glasgow G2 5DD.

Britoil (Exploration) Ltd., whose registered office is at 301 St. Vincent Street, Glasgow G2 5DD.

Britoil p.l.c., whose registered office is at 301 St. Vincent Street, Glasgow G2 5DD.

Canadian Oxy North Sea Petroleum Corporation, whose principal place of business in the United Kingdom is at 16 Palace Street, London SW1E 5BQ.

Conoco (U.K.) Ltd., whose registered office is at Park House, 116 Park Street, London W1Y 4NN.

Marathon Petroleum U.K. Ltd. whose registered office is at Marathon House, 174 Marylebone Road, London NW1 5AT.

Explanatory Note

This Order designates the companies listed in Part I of the Schedule as owners of the pipe-lines described in Part II of the Schedule which lie between installations situated east of the coast of Lincolnshire and north east of the coast of Norfolk.
