In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 8(5) and (7) of the Education Act 1980(1) the Secretary of State for Education and Science hereby makes the following Regulations:

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Education (School Curriculum and Related Information) (Amendment) Regulations 1989, and shall come into force on 31st July 1989.

2.  For sub-paragraph (a) of regulation 1(1) of the Education (School Curriculum and Related Information) Regulations 1989(2) there shall be substituted the following sub-paragraphs–

(a)except for regulation 3, regulations 8 and 10 insofar as they apply to pupils with statements of special educational needs, and regulations 11 and 12, on 1st August 1989;

(aa)as regards regulation 3, on 1st January 1990;.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Education (School Curriculum and Related Information) Regulations 1989 so as to postpone the commencement of amendments to the Education (School Information) Regulations 1981 (S.I. 1981/630) from 1st August 1989 until 1st January 1990.
