Modification of section 63 of the Social Security Act 1986

2.  Section 63 of the Social Security Act 1986 (annual uprating of benefits) shall be modified—

(a)by adding at the end of subsection (10) the words “or which are additions to income support under regulations made under section 89 of this Act”(1); and

(b)by inserting after subsection (10) the following subsection—

(10A) Any increase under this section of any of the sums which are additions to income support mentioned in subsection (10) above shall take the form of a direction that any such sum shall be increased by a specified percentage of its amount apart from the order..
