1. The lengths of existing highway —
(a)along the route described in Schedule 1 to this Order (the highway along this route being in this Order referred to as “the main trunk road”); and
(b)along the routes described in Schedule 2 to this Order which connect that part of the main trunk road with other highways at the places stated in Schedule 2 to this Order (the highways along these routes being in this Order referred to as “the slip roads”) and shown by black vertical stripes on the deposited plan shall become trunk roads as from the date when this Order comes into force.
2. In this Order “the deposited plan” means the plan folio numbered HA10/2-/N213 marked “The (A174) Parkway Interchange to ICI Westgate Roundabout (Trunking) Order 1988”, containing 5 maps bound together and numbered 1-5 inclusive, with a key plan, signed by authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Department of Transport, 43 Romney House, Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY.
3. This Order shall come into force on 1st April 1988 and may be cited as the (A174) Parkway Interchange to ICI Westgate Roundabout (Trunking) Order 1988.

1. That length of the A174/A1053 from its junction with the A19 Trunk Road at Parkway Interchange, to its junction with the southern side of the ICI Westgate Roundabout, including Parkway Roundabout and Greystones Roundabout, a distance of about 14.5 kilometres.
The routes of the slip roads are the following:
1. Two routes to connect the eastbound and westbound carriageways of the main trunk road described in Schedule 1 to this Order with the A1044 at Stainton Interchange.
(i)2. Two routes to connect the westbound carriageway of the main trunk road described in Schedule 1 to this Order with the B1365/A1032 Blue Bell Interchange.
(ii)One route to connect the eastbound carriageway of the main trunk road described in Schedule 1 to this Order with the A1032 at Blue Bell Interchange.
(iii)One route to connect the eastbound carriageway of the main trunk road described in Schedule 1 to this Order with the B1380 Ladgate Lane at Blue Bell Interchange.
3. Four routes to connect the eastbound and westbound carriageways of the main trunk road described in Schedule 1 to this Order with the A172 at Stokesley Road Bridge.
4. Two routes to connect the eastbound and westbound carriageways of the main trunk road described in Schedule 1 to this Order with the A171 at Ormesby Bank Interchange.
