The Secretary of State for Transport, being a Minister designated(1) for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972(2) in relation to the regulation and supervision of the working conditions of persons engaged in road transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by that section, hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Community Drivers' Hours (Passenger and Goods Vehicles) (Temporary Exception) (Revocation) Regulations 1987 and shall come into force on 2nd February 1987.

2.—(1) The Community Drivers' Hours (Passenger and Goods Vehicles) (Temporary Exception) Regulations 1987(3) are hereby revoked.

(2) On and after 2nd February 1987 no account shall be taken of any time spent driving or on duty before that date for the purpose of the application of Articles 6, 8 or 9 of Council Regulation (EEC) No. 3820/85 of 20th December 1985 on the harmonisation of certain social legislation relating to road transport(4).
