14.—(1) There shall be created in the borough of Dartford a new ward of that borough, which shall be known as the Longfield borough ward, and which shall consist of the area of the new parish of Longfield created by article 12.
(2) From 1st April 1987 until the fourth day after the ordinary day of elections in 1987 the new ward created by paragraph (1) above shall be represented by those borough councillors representing the Southfleet ward of the borough of Dartford immediately before 1st April 1987. Thereafter it shall be represented by 3 borough councillors.
(3) From the fourth day after the ordinary day of elections in 1987 the representation of the Southfleet ward of the borough of Dartford shall be reduced from 2 borough councillors to 1.
