1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Food Premises) Regulations 1987 and shall come into force on 7th February 1987.
(2) In these Regulations:
“the food legislation” means the Food Act 1984(1) and any regulations or orders made under it;
“health authority” has the meaning assigned to it by section 128 of the National Health Service Act 1977(2).
2. A health authority shall be treated as both the owner and occupier of premises used by the health authority for the purposes of the food legislation.
