TELECOMMUNICATIONS

This Order extends to the Isle of Man provisions of the Telecommunications Act 1984. The provisions extended are those specified in Part I of the Schedule to the Order, and they are extended subject to the exceptions, adaptations and modifications specified in Part II of that Schedule. Part III of that Schedule provides, except in one case, that they will come into force in the Isle of Man on the same dates as they come into force in the United Kingdom; the exception is section 110(1) of the Act (the citation provision), which came into force in the United Kingdom on 18th June 1984 and will come into force in the Isle of Man when the Order comes into operation.
