The Social Security (Widow'S Benefit and Retirement Pensions) Amendment Regulations 1984

The Secretary of State for Social Services, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 39(1) and 168(1) of, and Schedule 20 to, the Social Security Act 1975(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after agreement with the Social Security Advisory Committee that proposals to make these regulations should not be referred to it(2), hereby makes the following regulations:—

section 39(1) was amended by section 5(1) of and Schedule 1, paragraph 2 to the Social Security Act 1979 (c. 18).

See section 10(2)(b) of the Social Security Act 1980 (c. 30).
