The Merchant Shipping Act 1979 (Isle of Man) Order 1984 No. 1161

Article 2

SCHEDULE MODIFICATIONS OF SECTION 31(1) OF THE MERCHANT SHIPPING ACT 1979 AS EXTENDED TO THE ISLE OF MAN

1.  Any reference to an enactment shall be construed, unless the contrary intention appears, as a reference to it as it has effect in the Isle of Man.

2.  For “Secretary of State” (in both places) there shall be substituted “Isle of Man Harbour Board”.

3.  For “made by statutory instrument” there shall be substituted “made with the approval of Tynwald”.

4.  All the words from “and any statutory instrument” to the end shall be omitted.
