Subject to the provisions of Part IV, any question relating to any allowance or benefit under this scheme shall be determined as if it had arisen under the Social Security Act and, except where this scheme otherwise provides, the provisions of the Social Security Act and of the Social Security (Determination of Claims and Questions) Regulations 1975 which are specified in Schedule 3 shall, with the necessary modifications, apply for the purposes of this scheme.
