1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Kiribati Independence Order 1979.
(2) This Order shall be published by exhibition at the Maneaba in Maungatabu and shall come into operation on 12th July 1979 (in this Order referred to as “Independence Day”):
Provided that section 4(2) of this Order shall come into operation forthwith.
