Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Indication of Prices (Beds) Order 1978 and shall come into operation on 1st March 1979.

(2) In this Order, “bed” means a bed of any description (other than a camp bed and a bed intended primarily for outdoor use) intended for ultimate sale to private consumers, and includes mattresses and headboards.

(3) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
