Citation and commencement

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Industrial Training (Transfer of the Activities of Establishments) Order 1976.

(2) The provisions of this Order shall come into operation:—

(a)for all purposes of Article 3 on 8th April 1976;

(b)for all other purposes on 1st August 1976.

Interpretation

2.—(1) In this Order unless the context otherwise requires “the Act” means the Industrial Training Act 1964, as amended by the Employment and Training Act 1973.

(2) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply to the interpretation of this Order as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

Transfer of Establishments' Activities

3.  The activities carried on at the establishment specified in column 1 of Schedule 1 to this Order, being an establishment of an employer in the industry of an industrial training board, shall, instead of being included for the purposes of the Act in the industry of the industrial training board established by the industrial training order specified in column 2 of that Schedule, be included for those purposes in the industry of the industrial training board established by the industrial training order specified in column 3 of that Schedule.

4.  The activities carried on at the establishment specified in column 1 of Schedule 2 to this Order, being an establishment of an employer in the industry of an industrial training board, shall, instead of being included for the purposes of the Act in the industry of the industrial training board established by the industrial training order specified in column 2 of that Schedule, be included for those purposes in the industry of the industrial training board established by the industrial training order specified in column 3 of that Schedule.
