The National Health Service (Charges for Appliances) (Amendment) Regulations 1974

Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) These regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Charges for Appliances) (Amendment) Regulations 1974, and shall come into operation on 1st April 1974.

(2) The rules for the construction of Acts of Parliament contained in the Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the purposes of the interpretation of these regulations as they apply for the purpose of the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

Amendments to regulations

2.  In regulation 6(1) of the National Health Service (Charges for Appliances) Regulations 1974(1) after the “when it occurred, then” there shall be inserted—

   

unless the person supplies is a person for whom medical inspection or treatment is provided under or by virtue of the provisions of section 3 of the National Health Service Reorganisation Act 1973 and in respect of whom evidence to that effect is produced to the Secretary of State or the Authority as the case may require
