The Fire Services (Compensation) Regulations 1974

Whereas the Secretary of State is the appropriate Minister for the purposes of section 259 of the Local Government Act 1972 in relation to members of fire brigades of a class prescribed by the Firemen's Pension Scheme in pursuance of section 2 of the Fire Services Act 1951:

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the said section 259 and by section 24 of the Superannuation Act 1972, I hereby, with the consent of the Minister for the Civil Service so far as the exercise of powers conferred by the said section 24 are concerned, make the following Regulations—
