Compulsory purchase orders
12. Where under paragraph (1) of article 22 of the Local Authorities etc. (Miscellaneous Provision) Order 1974(1) a water authority is substituted as the authority to be authorised to acquire the land comprised in a compulsory purchase order and section 121 of the Act is substituted as the Act under which the compulsory acquisition is authorised, that section shall have effect as if any reference therein to a principal council included a reference to the water authority.
