Register	Certifying Officers	Mode of Authentication
Register of Births	The Registrar General or the Deputy Registrar General	the signature of the certifying officer and the seal or stamp of the General Register Office.
General Marriage Register Book	The Registrar General or the Deputy Registrar General	the signature of the certifying officer and the seal or stamp of the General Register Office.
Marriage Register Books	A Registrar of Marriages, a Deputy Registrar of Marriages or a Marriage Officer	the signature of the certifying officer.
Register of Deaths	The Registrar General or the Deputy Registrar General	the signature of the certifying officer and the seal or stamp of the General Register Office.
