1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Pottery (Health and Welfare) Special Regulations, 1950, and shall come into operation on the 2nd day of April, 1950.
(2) The Regulations made by the Secretary of State on the 2nd January, 1913, for the Manufacture and Decoration of Pottery(1), and the Pottery (Silicosis) Regulations, 1932(2), are hereby revoked.
(3) Factories to which these Regulations apply shall be excluded from the application of the Clay Works (Welfare) Special Regulations, 1948(3), except that where, in any such factory, there is carried on the manufacture of any of the articles mentioned in paragraph (1) of Regulation 4 hereof this exclusion shall relate only to a part of the factory which is not used for the purpose of such manufacture.
