7 Renunciation of tenancy. U.K.

A crofter shall be entitled, upon one year’s notice in writing to the landlord, to renounce his tenancy as at any term of Whitsunday or Martinmas.

[F1Provided that such notice shall not, without the consent of the Land Court, be effective unless, within two months from the date of notice, the landlord or the landholder intimates the same in writing to the Board, and provided further that, except by agreement with the Board, the landholder shall not, without the like consent, be entitled to renounce his tenancy so long as any liability owing by him to the Board is not wholly discharged.]
