Every purchase, sale, scheme, or lease by the police receiver under the Metropolitan Police Acts, 1829 to 1884, or this Act . . . F2 shall be subject to the approval of a Secretary of State. . . . F2 provided that it shall not be necessary for any vendor, purchaser, lessor, lessee, or lender to ascertain that such approval has been given.]
