Metropolitan Commons Amendment Act 1869

1869 CHAPTER 107

An Act to amend The Metropolitan Commons Act, 1866.

[11th August 1869]

Be it enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :

1Short title.

This Act may he cited as "The Metropolitan Commons Amendment Act. 1869."

2Extension of interpretation of term "common" in 29 & 30 Vict. c.122.

The following words shall he added to the interpretation of the term " common " in the third clause of The Metropolitan Commons Act, 1866; namely, " and any land subject to be included under the provisions of the eighth and ninth Victoria, chapter one hundred and eighteen."

3Extension of right to memorialize.

A scheme may be made, under The Metropolitan Commons Act (1866), on a memorial in that behalf presented to the Commissioners by any twelve or more ratepayers, inhabitants of the parish or parishes in which the Metropolitan Common is situate, as well as by any such person, persons, or body as is or are described in section six of the said Act.
