28 Concurrence of Under-lessees not required on a Surrender for obtaining a new Grant. U.K.

Whenever a Surrender shall be made of any existing Lease of any of the Possessions of the said Duchy for the Purpose of taking a new Lease or Leases, the new Lease or Leases shall be taken to be a Renewal of the surrendered Lease within the Scope and Meaning of the Sixth Section of the M1Landlord and Tenant Act 1730, so far as to render unnecessary the Surrender of any Under-lease previously to the granting of such new Lease or Leases, and to give full Effect to every such new Lease in all respects, notwithstanding any Under-lease may not be surrendered.
