Exchequer Court (Scotland) Act 1856 (c. 56)

37 †Bonds, &c. heretofore taken by Court of Exchequer may be taken by sheriffs, &c. U.K.

In all cases where at the date of the passing of this Act any bonds, recognizances, or securities are in use to be taken by any judge or judges of the Court of Exchequer, such bonds, recognizances, and securities may be taken by any [F1 sheriff principal], [F1 sheriff], or justice of the peace.
