The Superior Courts or any Judge thereof may, upon summary Application, by Rule or Order, exercise such and the like Jurisdiction as may, under the Provisions of an Act of Parliament made and passed in the Fifty-third Year of the Reign of His Majesty King George the Third, intituled [53 G. 3. c. 159.] An Act to limit the Responsibility of Shipowners in certain Cases, be exercised by any Court of Equity.
