  1. Introductory Text

  2. I.Lands to be used as Sites for Institutions, &c.

  3. II.Chancellor and Council of the Duchy of Lancaster empowered to grant Lands for the Site of an Institution.

  4. III.Officers of the Duchy of Cornwall empowered, upon sufficient Authority, to grant Land for the Site of an Institution.

  5. IV.If Lands cease to be used for the Purposes of the Act they shall revert.

  6. V.Persons not having legal Estates empowered to convey Lands for the Purposes of this Act without the Concurrence of their Trustees.

  7. VI.Corporation, Justices, Trustees, &c. to convey Lands for the Purposes of this Act.

  8. VII.How such Parties may convey.

  9. VIII.Where Part only of Lands subject to a Rent under Lease is conveyed, the Rent and Fine upon Renewal of Lease may be apportioned.

  10. IX.Liabilities of Tenants, and Remedies of Landlords as to Lands not conveyed.

  11. X.Any Number of Sites may be granted for separate Institutions.

  12. XI.Grants of Site may be made to Corporations or Trustees to be held for the Purposes of the Institution.

  13. XII.Incorporation of 13 & 14 Vict. c.28.

  14. XIII.Form of Grants, &c.

  15. XIV.Death of Donor within Twelve Months not to invalidate Grant.

  16. XV.Mode of conveying the Lord's Interest and that of the Copyholder in Copyhold Land.

  17. XVI.Application of Purchase Money for Land sold by any Ecclesiastical or Corporation Sole.

  18. XVII.Certain Clauses of the 8 & 9 Vict. c.18 rendered applicable to this Act.

  19. XVIII.Trustees may sell or exchange Lands or Buildings; or may let.

  20. XIX.Trustees to be indemnified from Charges; in default thereof empowered to mortgage or sell the Premises.

  21. XX.Property of Institution, how to be rested.

  22. XXI.How Suits by and against Institutions to be brought.

  23. XXII.Suits not to abate or discontinue.

  24. XXIII.How Judgment to be enforced against.

  25. XXIV.Institution may make Byelaw to be enforced.

  26. XXV.Members liable to be sued as Strangers.

  27. XXVI.Members guilty of Offences punishable as Strangers.

  28. XXVII.Institutions enabled to alter, extend, or abridge their Purposes.

  29. XXVIII.Power to Board of Trade to suspend such Alteration, if applied to by Two Fifths Dissentients.

  30. XXIX.Provision for the Dissolution of Institutions and Adjustment of their Affairs.

  31. XXX.Upon a Dissolution, no Member to receive Profit.

  32. XXXI.Who is a Member.
