XXKeeper of the Records.

And be it enacted, That the Office of Keeper of the Records, established by the said Act passed in the Fifty-fifth Year of the Reign of His Majesty King George the Third, shall be and the same is hereby abolished ; and the Duties of the Office shall be performed by the Principal Extractor and his Assistant, with the Aid of a Clerk, in case it shall appear to the said Principal Extractor to be proper and necessary to appoint such Clerk, who shall receive such Salary, not exceeding One hundred Pounds per Annum, as shall be fixed by the said Principal Extractor; and no Fees shall hereafter be received by any Person performing the Duties of the said Office.
