XIVSaving as to former Chaplains to the House of Commons.

Provided also, and be it enacted, That nothing herein-before contained shall be construed to prevent the Reverend Frederick Vernon Lockwood, the Reverend Edward Repton, or the Reverend Temple Frere, formerly Chaplains to the House of Commons, from taking and holding with any Benefice of which any of them was in Possession at the Time of the passing of this Act any Cathedral Preferment, or any Benefice which may be conferred on them or either of them by Her Majesty in consideration of their respective Services as such Chaplains, although any such Benefices be not within the Limits nor under the joint yearly Value, nor the Population thereof under the Amount, prescribed by this Act.
