1 Extension of Trust’s powers of saleE+W+S+N.I.
(1)The Irish Sailors and Soldiers Land Trust shall have power, subject to and in accordance with Treasury regulations, to sell any cottage provided for the purposes of the Trust (with or without any plot or garden provided with it)—
(a)to any of the men for whose benefit the Trust was established, including a man in occupation of the cottage to be sold or of some other cottage so provided; or
(b)to the widow of any such man . . . F1, if—
(i)they were residing in the cottage together at the time of his death, and she has remained in occupation of it since; . . . F2

(2)The powers conferred by this Act shall be in addition to any powers of sale which are or may be conferred on the Trust by subsection (5) of section four of the M1 Irish Land (Provision for Sailors and Soldiers) Act 1919 (which relates to land no longer required for the accommodation of ex-servicemen), or by Treasury regulations.
(3)In this Act the expression “Treasury regulations” means regulations made by the Treasury under section three of the M2 Irish Free State (Consequential Provisions) Act 1922 (Session 2).
