7Consequential amendments and repeals.

(1)Subject to the provisions of this section, the enactments specified in the Second Schedule to this Act shall have effect subject to the amendments set out in relation thereto in the second column of that Schedule, and the enactments set out in the Third Schedule to this Act are hereby repealed to the extent specified in the third column of that Schedule.

(2)The amendments effected by subsection (1) of this section shall be without prejudice to any amendment of any enactment set out in the said Second Schedule effected, whether before or after the commencement of this Act, by Regulations made under the Emergency Powers (Defence) Acts, 1939 and 1940, so long as such Regulations remain in force.

(3)The reference in the said Third Schedule to section seventy-two of the Schedule to the [62 & 63 Vict. c. 19.] Electric Lighting (Clauses) Act, 1899, shall be construed as including a reference to that section as incorporated with any special Act or order passed or confirmed before the passing of this Act, and to any corresponding provision of any such Act or order with which that Schedule is not incorporated ; and so much of any special Act, provisional order or special order relating to gas undertakings or the supply of gas as provides for the performance by specified officers of functions formerly exercisable by the Board of Trade thereunder shall cease to have effect.
