Assessment of compensation for reduction of emoluments.
6In the case of an officer who suffers any reduction of the emoluments of an office, the compensation shall not exceed a sum bearing the same proportion to the amount of compensation which could have been awarded if he had lost his office, as the amount by which the emoluments of the office are reduced bears to the amount of those emoluments without reduction.
