14Exercise of Board of Trade's powers by other persons

(1)The Board of Trade may make arrangements whereby licences and permits which the Board are authorised to grant under this Act are issued and revoked on behalf, and in the name, of the Board by officers of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, by officers of the Fishery Board for Scotland and by such other persons, and at such places within or outside the United Kingdom, as the Board of Trade may determine, and any licence or permit issued or revoked in pursuance of such arrangements shall be deemed for the purposes of this Act to be a licence or permit, as the case may be, granted or revoked by the Board of Trade.

(2)Anything required or authorised under this Act to be done by, to or before the Board of Trade may, subject to any arrangements in force under subsection (1) of this section, be done by, to or before the President of the Board, a secretary, under-secretary or assistant secretary of the Board, or any person authorised in that behalf by the President of the Board.
