59 Miscellaneous provisions as to summary proceedings against juvenile offenders. E+W

(1) The words “conviction” and “sentence” shall cease to be used in relation to [F1 children and] young persons dealt with summarily and any reference in any enactment [F2 whether passed before or after the commencement of this Act] to a person convicted, a conviction or a sentence shall, in the case of a [F1 child or] young person, be construed as including a reference to a person found guilty of an offence, a finding of guilt or an order made upon such a finding, as the case may be:
