1929 CHAPTER 9

An Act to amend the provisions of the Law of Property Act, 1925, relating to relief against forfeiture of under-leases.

Be it enacted by the King's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1Relief of under-lessees against breach of covenant.

Nothing in subsection (8), subsection (9) or subsection (10) of section one hundred and forty-six of the [15 Geo. 5. c. 20.] Law of Property Act, 1925 (which relates to restrictions on and relief against forfeiture of leases and under-leases), shall affect the provisions of subsection (4) of the said section.

2Short title.

This Act may be cited as the Law of Property (Amendment) Act, 1929, and the Law of Property Act, 1925, the [16 & 17 Geo. 5. c. 11.] Law of Property (Amendment) Act, 1926, so far as it amends that Act, and this Act may be cited together as the Law of Property Acts, 1925 to 1929.
