PART IVMiscellaneous Local Government Provisions.

Miscellaneous.

61Notification of births.

1

The Minister may, if he thinks fit, make an order under proviso (6) of subsection (4) of section two of the [7 Edw. 7. c. 40.] Notification of Births Act, 1907, declaring that that Act shall take effect as if it had been adopted by the council of a district or by the council of a county, as the case may be, notwithstanding that no application has been made to him for that purpose.

2

Where an order has been made under the said proviso, the Minister may at any time if he is satisfied that it is expedient to do so, make a further order revoking the original order, and thereupon the county council or the district council, as the case may be, shall again become the authority for the purposes of the Notification of Births Act, 1907.
