This Act may be cited as the Local Government Act, 1929.

This Act shall not . . . F1 extend to Scotland, and shall not extend to Northern Ireland.

The Minister may by order direct that this Act shall, subject to such exceptions, adaptations and modifications, if any, as may be specified in the order, extend to the Isles of Scilly, but except as so applied this Act shall not extend to the said Isles.

The Minister may by any such order amend or repeal any provisions contained in the order relating to the Isles of Scilly, which was confirmed by the M1Local Government Board’s Provisional Order Confirmation (No. 6) Act, 1890.
